You can download Elements 14 at Amazon for $44.99 as of 8:50 AM CST on July 12, 2016.
This pricing is for the download only. If you want Amazon to ship the disc to you, the cost is $79.97.
The download is currently $99.99 at Adobe, so this is a great deal! If you have a Costco membership (I don’t), you might check out the prices there before buying at Amazon. I wouldn’t expect it to be much lower, but you never know.
Buyer Beware Advice: I’ve been watching Photoshop Elements closely since version 2. And I’ve noticed a significant pattern. Adobe usually releases a new version of PSE in September-ish. That means that there is a good chance that Elements 15, or whatever they decide to call it, will be out soon. However, the prices won’t be this good.
If you are willing to pay full price and want the latest and greatest version, don’t buy now. Otherwise, this is most likely the best price you will find on this software.
Why Upgrade to Photoshop Elements 14?
The biggest new features of Elements 14 are Dehaze and Shake Reduction. They are handy, especially for mobile phone photos. Read my full review plus recommendations on who should buy in this upgrade to Photoshop Elements 14 article.
Upgrade to Photoshop CC
I noticed another great deal on Amazon today.
The Adobe Photography Plan, which is a subscription to both full Photoshop and Lightroom, is on sale for $7.49 a month. It’s usually priced at $9.99 monthly. This is a 25% discount!
I use Photoshop Elements, Lightroom and Photoshop CC. I have no problem with a subscription model for my software, but I know that it’s not for everyone. However, I have apps on my phone that I pay more than $7.49 for each month. This is a good deal. Even at $9.99, it’s a good deal.
The differences between Photoshop Elements & Photoshop CC are huge. You get adjustment layers like:
- Curves & Color Balance (these two are the best way to get great colors in your image)
Photoshop CC also includes the patch tool for blemish removal and image clean up. You can create actions and use the History Brush to erase PARTS of your previous edits. There are hundreds of other differences, but those are the cream of the crop.
Do you have questions about using Photoshop CC? I can answer them. Post them in the comments below.
